Cynthia has been immersed in music since birth, studying piano and flute before developing a strong passion for singing and performing, which led her to jazz. After a solid academic background, she earned a Diplôme d’Études Musicales and graduated from the Didier Lockwood Music Center’s professional program. At the same time, she gained diverse stage experience at the CREA, performing musical theatre, opera, French chanson, and jazz.Over the years, she began composing and collaborating with various groups, expanding her repertoire to include soul, gospel, chanson, and Latin, Brazilian, and Caribbean music. Influenced by major jazz artists, funk legends, vocal groups, and soul singers, she also draws inspiration from her Caribbean roots.In 2015, she released her first album Petites voixand later created her solo project “Seule en Scène,” while maintaining a long residency at Le Baiser Salé. She has performed alongside a wide range of artists and won first prize at the UNISA International Jazz Voice Competition in South Africa in 2018.Today, viewing the voice as a full instrument, Cynthia balances collaborations as a sidewoman with her personal projects, including her family group Abraham Réunion, her solo work, and ongoing touring and new creations.
