Richecard Cine, young Haitian bassist and artist manager, is the president and founder of the Jacmel Jazz Festival, winner of the Best Young Festival in the Caribbean and Central America in 2024 by the Prestigious Awards. A beneficiary of UNESCO’s Transcultura program, he has participated in events linking jazz and entrepreneurship to promote economic and social development in the Caribbean and was selected for the UNESCO Caribbean delegation to the 15th edition of Carifesta in 2025.

A fellow of the 2025 class of the “Young Leaders of America Initiative” program of the US Department of State, Richecard uses jazz to contribute to the fight against juvenile delinquency and the social inclusion of people with disabilities.

With his experience in jazz festivals such as the Port-au-Prince International Jazz Festival, Dominican Republic Jazz Festival and Jazz Emprende in Havana, he coordinates the cultural engineering training program of the Jacmel Jazz Festival, which, since 2024, has benefited around a hundred young people in four departments of Haiti. Facilitator in the creation and structuring of jazz events and organizations such as Rendez-vous Jazzy avec Dieunie PL, the Cap-Haïtien Jazz Club, Festival Jazz les Cayes, among others, he actively contributes to the Haitian cultural landscape by offering his services and partnerships to other institutions such as the Alliance Française de Jacmel, where he is a member of the board of directors as treasurer.
