Born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Josué Alexis began his musical journey at an early age, driven by a natural talent and deep passion for the piano. He received his initial musical training under Mr. Joseph Pierre before continuing his studies at the Lyra Music School with Mr. Loubert-Victor Léopold. His remarkable abilities soon attracted the attention of renowned pianist Serge Villedrouin, who became his mentor and played a pivotal role in shaping his artistic growth. Josué also benefited from the guidance and encouragement of Mrs. Micheline Laudun Denis. 

In 2003, his dedication and hard work were recognized when he earned a distinction prize at the National Piano and Solfège Competition, an important milestone in his musical development. Over the years, he established himself as a sought-after accompanist for numerous choirs, soloists, and musical ensembles throughout Port-au-Prince, enriching performances with his musical sensitivity and technical skill. 

A versatile musician, Josué expanded his artistic horizons by exploring jazz and participating in the Port-au-Prince Jazz Festival. His collaboration with guitarist and composer Hans Peters on the “Jabadou” project further broadened his musical experience and repertoire. Alongside his collaborative work, he developed a successful career as a solo pianist, performing works by classical masters such as Bach, Mozart, and Beethoven. His debut piano recital in October 2018 marked a significant achievement, showcasing both his technical mastery and expressive artistry. 

Josué’s talent has also gained international recognition through performances with German soprano Christine Reber and collaborations with distinguished Haitian artists. Today, he continues to represent Haitian musical excellence, inspiring audiences through his dedication, versatility, and passion for sharing music with the world.
