Franck Nicolas, influenced by Miles Davis and Kafé Ignol, has developed an innovative approach that blends jazzwith Guadeloupean Gwo ka. His creative spirit leads him to explore avant-garde artistic forms. From the fusion of jazz language and traditional rhythms emerges Jazz ka. Inspired by the work of Lockel and Kafé in the 1970s, he brought this style to life in2002 in New York. He collaborates with leading Guadeloupean and international musicians to create a unique musical alchemy. He further enriches his sound by working with young talents as well as Caribbean and Cuban artists. Constantly seeking innovation, he also draws from Kalina (Carib) culture and incorporates the powerful sounds of conch shells into his music. At the same time, he develops a groundbreaking approach to music education and composes deeply expressive works rooted in both ancestral traditions and future visions.
