Jimmy was born in Jérémie, Haiti, a city renowned for its rich poetic heritage. He later moved to Port-au-Prince, where he discovered his passion for music. Inspired by his older brother Raynaldo, who taught him his first guitar chords, Jimmy quickly developed a natural talent for the instrument. He became active in church choirs, school musicals, and songwriting competitions.

Throughout his career, Jimmy has established himself as a respected songwriter, guitarist, producer, and arranger. He co-founded the bands Splash and Kreyol, blending Kreyol Jazz, Fusion, Rock, and Haitian rhythms. He also toured internationally with Boukman Eksperyans before co-founding and leading Boukan Ginen through the release of two albums. His work has appeared alongside renowned Haitian artists such as Beethova Obas, Emeline Michel, and Reginald Policard.

His first solo album, Jimmylogy, reflects his unique fusion of Kreyol and Modern Jazz, Worldbeat, Rock, and Haitian Rasin music. Through his music, Jimmy aspires to connect people worldwide through shared emotions and humanity.
